Thanks to John Elliot of Rawburn Angus in Scotland for purchasing 6 top producing females in 2009 to go into the Rawburn embryo program.
A HALF SHARE in the bull Rawburn Rommel E423 was sold to F J Fraser & Son, Newton of Idvies, Forfar for
£32 500 the other half has been retained by Rawburn. Rommel recorded an actual 400-day weight of 767 Kgs and scanned an eye muscle depth of 90mm. With a terminal index of 31 he is in the top 1% of the breed. His Dam Prairielane Rosebud 011 was the second highest growth rate cow in all of Canada. Rosebud 011 was also the dam of the highest growth rate bull recorded in Canada in 2005. His sire is the top US bull Hoff Limited Edition.

Both females are from the Prarielane herd and are without exception the 2 highest performance females in Canada for yearling growth. Calves from both females will be born at Rawburn in April 2005.
